Privacy policy
Effective 2026-07-27.
This describes what the site actually does, checked against the code rather than adapted from a template. It is short because the site collects little.
There is no analytics and no advertising
The site loads no analytics, no tag manager, and no advertising or social tracking script. Nobody is building a profile of you here, and there is no third party pixel to opt out of, because there is none to begin with.
The one cookie
Browsing without signing in sets a single cookie holding a random identifier that we signed. Its only job is to remember which visitor a free allowance belongs to, so that searches are not either free forever or blocked entirely.
It is HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it, and it carries no name, no email and nothing about you. Clearing it makes you a new visitor with a new allowance.
If you sign in
Signing in goes through Google. Google tells us your account identifier, email address, display name and avatar URL, and those four things are stored so the account can be recognised on the next visit. We never see your Google password.
Alongside that sits what the account has done here: credit balance, which stores were unlocked, and which stores are on the watchlist. That is the whole record.
Stores you search for
Searches are stored against the account or the anonymous identifier, because the results are cached and because a repeat search must not charge twice. The stores looked up are business domains, not personal data.
IP addresses are used for rate limiting and are hashed before storage. The hash cannot be reversed to an address.
Who else sees it
Google, when you sign in, under its own terms. Cloudflare, which hosts the site and therefore processes requests to it. The provider of the feedback form, but only when you open that form and only what you type into it.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising. There is no advertising here to share it with.
Deleting it
Ask and the account record and everything attached to it is deleted. Without signing in there is nothing to delete beyond the cookie, which you can clear yourself.
Who to ask
Requests to see or delete it go to support@tryecommercetools.com.
